Pasar Minggu Gulkarmat Uses 4 Rubber Boats to Evacuate Residents Affected by Flood

South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency's Sector IX Pasar Minggu Sub-district deployed 4 rubber boats and 20 personnel to help evacuating residents affected by flood, on Saturday (2/20).

Those areas are flooded because Ciliwung River was overflowing around 00:30 in early morning

South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency's Picket Officer, Slamet mentioned, there were 6 settlements which flooded in Pasar Minggu Sub-district, on Jalan Jatipadang V, RW 04; Jalan Masjid Al-Makmur; Gang Buntu RT 17/07; and RT 05/08, Pejaten Timur Urban Village.

Next, Jalan Nis RT 09/03, Cilandak Timur Urban Village; Jalan Jambu RT 13/08, Pejaten Barat Urban Village; Jalan Pejaten Barat Terusan RT 07/08, Pejaten Barat Urban Village; and Jalan Mujair Dalam RT 02/08, Pasar Minggu Urban Village.

"Those areas are flooded because Ciliwung River was overflowing around 00:30 in early morning. Water level at those 6 locations are vary between 150-200 centimeters," he explained.

According to him, since early morning until this afternoon, Gulkarmat personnel had evacuated more than 120 residents to a safer location.

"Since last night, we have evacuated more than 120 residents, including children, adults, and elderly," he stated.
